“Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul.”
— Henry Ward Beecher
A grateful heart is a happy heart. And for those who believe in God, a grateful heart is a heart that constantly thanks God for all of His blessings.
This, however, does not mean to say that it is always easy to do so. There are times when I forget to be thankful to God, forgetting about all His blessings and seeing only the things that cause me some annoyance or discomfort.
I realized then that being thankful should be formed through conscious effort. We must do it again and again until we have made it a habit and a part of our lives.
As part of this intention, I listed a hundred things I am thankful for. I know that it is only a small part of God’s countless blessings to me. But I hope that this could be a start of acquiring the good habit of having a grateful heart.

How about you? Can you list the blessings you are thankful for today?
Even in the midst of problems and various challenges, there are things we can be thankful for. For a start, we can be grateful for God’s grace that helps us to carry on and not lose hope. It is a great blessing to keep the faith even in the midst of life’s many storms.
Here is a song I recently published on my YouTube channel “She Who Prays Twice” about having God even in the midst of the storm!
I enjoyed reading your list. Thank you for sharing! And I really liked this quote you shared:

Thank you, Jocelyn, for your post! I had so many "YES!" moments when reading through your list. And thank you for the reminder that God is still close to us -- even in the storm. Have a blessed day!
