Being a Catholic freelance writer, I know how hard it is to look for a job that suits your faith.
While we don’t necessarily have to take “religious” jobs, we do have to take into consideration whether working for a certain type of job or company would later on be in conflict in observing our faith.
There was a time when I really needed the money that I chose to work as a technical writer for an accounting topic rather than work freelance in other self-development sites. Why?
Because many self-improvement and inspirational sites today have concepts about non-Catholic and even non-Christian beliefs. Examples are those exploring the occult and New age beliefs.
I decided that it was better for me to simply write about non-religious themes rather than work on something that would contradict my faith.
If you are currently looking for Catholic-related jobs right now, I would like to share with you this list of Catholic job boards where you can start looking for work:
1. Jobs for Catholics
Their website has this great vision:
“A Place where great Catholic Talent meets great Catholic Opportunities.”
Here is their slogan:
“Helping to Build the Body of Christ, One Great Hire at a Time”
They also have a very helpful link for “Top Catholic Employers” that chose to avail of their services in looking for Catholic talents. You can browse each employer to see if they are hiring. You can also enter your e-mail address to be alerted for future job opportunities.
But if you’re in a hurry, you can simply look up their “Find Jobs” page under the tab “Job Seekers.”
2. CatholicJobs.com
When you go this website, you can immediately see a list of their featured jobs.
But you can also filter the list of jobs available by using their search function. Simply type the keywords, location and category to make a search.
Here’s the link that appeared when I searched for a job using the keyword “writer”.

This site has search features for those looking for Catholic professionals as well as those who are looking for work.
For employers, you can post a job or a project. For job seekers, you can post your profile so that it would be easier for future employers to find you and reach out to you.
You can quickly see a list of recent job listings as well as featured professionals.
To search for a job, you can simply type the general keywords or refine your search by using the following filters: work type, industry, region, required education and work hours. There is even a map that will help you see the location for the specific job.
You can also see if a job is available for remote work.
