Have you ever considered being a published author of your very own Catholic book?
While you can definitely become a self-published indie author, it wouldn’t hurt to try submitting your manuscript to some of our traditional Catholic book publishers.
In this article, let me provide you with some of these publishers that can help you as a Catholic author. I will provide some information taken from their websites related to manuscript submission. I will also provide a quick link to their manuscript submissions page.
Here is a list of some of these Catholic publishers with relevant links and some quick notes for submission:
1. Ignatius Press
Quick Notes:
Your manuscript should be accompanied by a cover letter.
They only accept complete manuscripts.
Poetry and prayer books are rarely published.
They do not publish dissertations, theses, or small pamphlets.

2. Loyola Press
Quick Notes:
They do not publish poetry, fiction, dissertations, apologetics, and argumentative and/or ideologically driven works.
Instead of a complete manuscript, they need you to write a query letter to them first.
According to their website, they are looking for the following:
1. Works that help people of all ages experience God in their lives more directly, that introduce the dynamics of the Spiritual Exercises and the Ignatian process of discernment and decision-making, and that open up Scripture as a way of encountering Jesus
2. Works that introduce and explain Catholic tradition and the richness of our faith, the significance of our rituals and practices, the ability to speak with others about what we believe, and the invitation to find a place within the Church in which a person’s gifts can thrive
You send your query letter to submissions@loyolapress.com
