What is eternity if lived without love? Even God is not alone.
The Christian God is not a solitary God but a Trinity: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. The Father loves the Son and the Son loves the Father and the Holy Spirit is that very love that they have. For what is love without someone who loves, and someone who is loved? Love is not an abstract thing we imagine but the most real thing there is. For in it depends the very fiber of the entire universe.
It is not easy to understand, but it is a mystery that we must believe in. And this belief is not without any basis. If we do not believe in it, how else could we make sense of everything?
Love alone gives meaning to our existence.
Love is the key to the mystery of our creation, being and purpose. It is the power that holds our destiny.
He who loves has found peace. He who doesn’t will never be satisfied.
Love is the home and the heaven we have been searching for. God is Love. And to find heaven is to see God face to face!
If love is with us, we’d find that we belong to each other. Wasn’t it Mother Teresa who said this:
“If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.”
We must remember who we are and what we’re supposed to be doing. If we are not spending our lives in love, what are we spending it for?
All of our little amusements will fade away. Only love will never die.
He who believes in love believes in eternity.
For it is in the nature of love to live and to desire that one’s beloved ones to go on living.
Every good that has ever existed comes from love.
Love is the light that enables us to see. It illuminates everything else, and without which, the whole world grows dim.
No one is entirely alone. There are just some of us who desire to be or think that we have no one.
Loneliness is an illusion best kept in hell. At the very end of time, when the veil has been lifted up, we’d finally see.
God loves us and invites us to an eternal relationship of joy!
This at last is heaven. When we have finally realized that we are not alone.
“This is how we know that we remain in him and he in us, that he has given us of his Spirit. Moreover, we have seen and testify that the Father sent his Son as savior of the world. Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him and he in God. We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us.”
“God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him.”
- 1 John 4:13-16 (NABRE)
“The ‘name’ of the Most Holy Trinity is in a certain way impressed upon everything that exists, because everything that exists, down to the least particle, is a being in relation, and thus God-relation shines forth, ultimately creative Love shines forth. All comes from love, tends toward love, and is moved by love... The strongest proof that we are made in the image of the Trinity is this: only love makes us happy, because we live in relation, and we live to love and be loved.” - Pope Benedict XVI

Is it really possible to love a God we cannot even see? Can we really love Him as we love another Person? A Person who can listen to us and respond to us?
