There is a song I used to sing when I was a child. I remember how I couldn’t help but be in awe whenever this song was sang in Church.
It’s as though something so close to heaven itself comes down on earth and just for a few minutes, I could almost touch the mystery of it all.
Have you ever listened to something like that?
For a few moments, you feel as though you have been transported somewhere safe and sacred. Somewhere you can feel very much at peace and loved.
In a way, this song has been a refuge to me.
It takes me back not only to all those wonderful years I’ve had as a child. It also lifts up my soul to God in prayer.
Today, I would like to share with you my audio recording of this song.
I have a YouTube version of this song, but this one is different from the one I recorded earlier. This version seemed to be something more intimate and I would like to share this with you.
I’m not a professional singer, but I sang this one from the heart. I hope that by God’s grace, it may bless you and inspire you today.
Here is the audio of the song:
Pass It On (Lyrics)
It only takes a spark to get a fire going,
And soon all those around can warm up in its glowing;
That's how it is with God's Love,
Once you've experienced it,
Your spread the love to everyone
You want to pass it on.
What a wondrous time is spring,
When all the tress are budding
The birds begin to sing, the flowers start their blooming;
That's how it is with God's love,
Once you've experienced it.
You want to sing, it's fresh like spring,
You want to pass it on.
I wish for you my friend
This happiness that I've found;
You can depend on God
It matters not where you're bound,
I'll shout it from the mountain top
I want the world to know
The Lord of love has come to me
I want to pass it on.
I'll shout it from the mountain top
I want the world to know
The Lord of love has come to me
I want to pass it on.
Here is another song I posted on my YouTube channel “She Who Prays Twice”:
It’s my cover of an old Christian hymn that praises God for all the wonderful things He has done.
Is there a song you’d want to sing to the world?
We may not be professional singers at the moment, but perhaps one day in heaven we may be given the chance to sing our song to the world. I can’t wait to hear yours!
