Some mornings are just too beautiful!
You want to spend it slowly, savoring each moment before they pass away. You linger in your bed longer, hugging the cool sheets, letting the sunlight stream gradually from your window.
When you finally get up, you say a little prayer, fix the bed and then sip your favorite cup of coffee as though you're tasting it for the very first time.
You count your blessings, all the wonderful things that make your life worthwhile. With a grateful heart, you finally start your day.
If this is how amazing your day could start, how much more wonderful could the rest of your day be?
“Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.”
-Psalm 143:8 (NRSVCE)
Prayer
I give you thanks, O Lord, for your great faithfulness. I praise you for this new day of hope! Thank you for giving me the gift of one more day to love you and to do your holy will.
Let your grace so flow within me that I become a channel of your blessing. May each morning bring me closer to you, reminding me of your glory and unchanging love. Amen.
“An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.” – Henry David Thoreau
