What Are You Looking For?
What is it that we are looking for? Why couldn’t we be satisfied with Jesus? If Jesus is perfect beauty, love and joy, why do we often ask for more? Why do we prefer other things that pales so much in comparison with the happiness only Jesus could bring? Could it be that we do not really know Him? Or could it be that we have forgotten who He was?
Perhaps we have been so busy with other things that we have failed to spend time with Him. Perhaps we have forgotten those days when we have first known Him and His love for us.
Whatever you may be going through today, I hope you spend some time today to remind you of Him who loves you most. Remember those days when you first discovered His gaze, His warmth, and His beauty. Remember the sweetness that you felt when you first heard Him calling your name. And if by chance you have not yet known Him, spend some time trying to read His story. Find time to know the One who will never let you down.
A Forgotten Voice
I have just published a very personal book at Amazon titled “A Forgotten Voice”. It’s a short book that’s part romance novel, part inspirational and part self-help book with little bits of poetry on the side.
Jamie could no longer bear the emptiness of waking up each morning going nowhere and being with nobody. After years of hard work, she finds herself alone and trapped in a career that was neither financially nor emotionally rewarding.
One day, however, an accident gave her the chance to start again. But at what cost? Given the same chance, shall we rather escape the life we’re living by forgetting everything that ever happened to us?
