There are times when my faith is weak: I have doubts, I feel like falling into various temptations, and I feel more like moving backward rather than growing onward in my spiritual life. During such times, how I wanted to live in another time somewhere, a time when the world still believed in God and the people still sought truth.
Hi, Savannah! We only become hypocrites and judgmental when we condemn someone for something that isn't wrong. One example is when the Pharisees criticized Jesus for healing on a Sabbath when they themselves would rescue even their animals on a Sabbath day. How much more valuable is healing a person! But we aren't being judgmental when we call something wrong as wrong. What then do we say about the murder of innocent people and unimaginable acts of violence? People have a right to criticize the people in the Church when they have done wrong such as when priests were involved in the sexual harassment of young children. We don't call them judgmental Pharisees for their criticisms.
Thank you for sharing.
